✈ Big News for Travelers!
Direct flights from Nigeria to Brazil are finally becoming a reality. No more endless connections or 30-hour journeys. Here’s the full update 👇
Nigeria and Brazil have officially signed a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA), paving the way for direct passenger flights between the two countries.
Currently, there is no direct flight from any West or Central African nation to Brazil or South America. Travelers from Nigeria must connect through Europe or the Middle East, with journeys taking 22 to 30 hours and often at a much higher cost.
With this new agreement, flight time will be reduced to about 7 hours, and Nigeria will be positioned as a strategic hub for African passengers traveling across the South Atlantic.
Air Peace has already secured approval to operate the Lagos to São Paulo route, with three weekly flights expected to commence by November 2025.
This development is a major win for Nigeria and Africa at large, opening doors for tourism, trade, and stronger ties between the two regions.
✅ Nigeria is truly stepping up as the Giant of Africa.
